Upcoming Regulatory Requirements
The AS1851:2012 Standard is already widely supported throughout NSW. From February 2025, NSW regulations will mandate that all fire protection systems must be maintained in accordance with this Standard. These regulations aim to ensure consistency across the fire protection industry, especially in terms of timing, procedures, and reporting.

We assist clients with the Five Yearly Service Schedule for fire hydrants, and ensure compliance with Table 4.4.4 of the AS1851:2012 Standard.
Our services include:
Flow Testing
Through the booster connection in line with AS2419.1 or your approved design standard.
Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
On the entire fire hydrant system, at 1.5 times the working pressure, to meet the required design standard.
These services are carried out by FPAS Accredited and Licensed Technicians using calibrated gauges and flow meters to ensure accuracy and compliance.

For a $1200 plus GST, our Hydrant Booster Testing includes:
- A qualified driver/operator and mobile pumper appliance
- Up to 2 hours of service at your site during normal working hours
- Testing of a single zone system
- Connecting hoses, gauges, and meters
- A basic report indicating test pressures and flow rates achieved
Additional services will be charged as per our standard schedule of rates.
